The skirt itself has a pop culture connection. It was made by Kings Road designer Nigel Preston for his fashion line branded Maxfield Parrish. Maxfield Parrish was a British fashion brand founded by Nigel Preston in the early 1970s. With an international reputation – especially for its work in leathers. He was well known for colorful leather and suede clothing and was popular with rock stars in the mid-1970s going forward. Although Mr. Preston is no longer living, his brand is still in production.
A-line black leather skirt (shown with petticoat beneath, not included), that is in really great condition, showing minimal leather aging throughout. Zipper detail and buckle detail accentuate the hip. Zip back closure. Amazing vintage skirt, purchased from Harrod's in London! Made in England.
